4 Reasons to make South Australia your Elopement Destination for your 2023-2024 Wedding

South Australia is having a major moment. We’ve nabbed the title of home to Australia’s best beach. And the New York Times (!!!) named our beloved Kangaroo Island among its 52 Places to Visit in 2023.

Well, we’re about to take it one step further. Not only do we encourage you to visit our stunning state this year, we think you should tie the knot here!

If you need some convincing, allow us to list the reasons why the Festival State (as we’re nicknamed) of South Australia should be your elopement destination this year and beyond.

  1. Did we mention we made the New York Times list of 52 Places to Visit? Not to blow our own horn or anything, but…toot toot. We can’t think of a more premiere and exclusive list to be a part of when it comes to international travel destinations.

  2. World class wineries make for an ideal hens or bucks party. Anyone who likes to drink a drop of red wine (or any wine!) would be familiar with South Australian wines—they’re lauded to be amongst the best in the world. But don’t take our word for it—try them out for yourself!

  3. Enjoy your Aussie wedding without paying exorbitant East Coast prices. Have you checked the prices on elopement venues around Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne recently? Save yourself a few dollars by looking in South Australia. You’ll get a lot more for your money and be able to put your hard earned cash toward something else. (Plus, our elopement venue is just a day’s drive from Melbourne!)

  4. Take advantage of availability. South Australia is under the radar (for now, at least!) and therefore dates tend to be less booked out and much more available. We’re not sure we’ll be able to say that in a couple years, though, so start booking your dates now!

We could go on and on, but there you have it: Your top 4 reasons to elope to South Australia. If we’ve convinced you, head on over to our Weddings page for more information and to book a tour.
