Small business, big dreams

Wow. What a week. And what a journey it’s been.

We purchased this property back in 2020 with our baby girl on the way and a global pandemic kicking off around us. Our vision was to create a space where we could live and make a living.

Last week, with baby girl in tow, we received approval from District Council of Grant to operate our businesses. We are so, so thrilled and grateful. This is the culmination of a lot of hard work, planning, and let’s be honest, some stressful times as we’ve balanced starting a business with raising our baby in a new community. (Can we get an ‘amen!’ from all the small business owners out there!)

But this is an enormous milestone for us and means we’ll be able to finally bring our vision to life for our future guests and clients. And more importantly, let our business play a small part in improving our little corner of the world.

So, what will be on offer?

  • First up will be two off-grid geodesic glamping domes

  • Next, we’ll be offering a rustic, chill outdoor venue for wedding ceremonies of all kinds — and we want to be especially clear that we warmly and proudly welcome all members of the LGBTQ+ community

  • Lastly, our historic stone cottage will be lovingly restored and available for tourist accommodations.

And it will all be located on a one-of-a-kind, eco-friendly property at the foot of cinder cone volcano Mount Schank. (Spoiler alert: It’s paradise.)

You may not hear much from us over the coming months — we’ll be busy working on creating a client experience that is warm and welcoming, connects people with the land, and allows them to unplug, unwind, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

We expect to open up accommodations bookings and wedding venue tours later this coming Summer. Until then, stay tuned here or on our Facebook or Instagram to follow the journey to launch.

With love,

Your mates at Mountain Path Meadows
